Glass fusing is a fun, relaxing and therapeutic art form which gives you the opportunity to explore your creative side to produce something that will last a lifetime.

The Farthing workshop is the perfect venue to work in, offering lots of space and light.

Saturday 18th April 11.00am to 1.00pm, and 2.30pm – 4.30pm.

Spring Themed fused glass workshop for beginners and improvers.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and also improvers.
You will get the opportunity to make a large stand alone fused glass art piece.
In this workshop you will be given the opportunity to explore kiln carving to create depth and texture in your piece.
With my help you will be shown how to cut and assemble the glass to make your piece, which will then be taken offsite and fused in a kiln, before being returned for you to collect.
No artistic skill or experience required.

£40 per person – this price includes all you need for this workshop, (including tea and cake.)

Fused Glass Crashing Wave workshop

A circular wave or a stand alone wavy crashing wave
This workshop is suitable for beginners and also those with some experience.
You will get the opportunity to make a real WOW piece of fused glass art.
With my support you will be shown how to cut and assemble the glass to make your piece, which will then be taken offsite and fused in a kiln, before being returned for you to collect.
No artistic skill or experience required.

In this workshop you will get the opportunity to make a piece of glass art that will be slumped over a mould after it is fired, to take on a stand alone shape.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and also improvers.
With my help you will be shown how to cut and assemble the glass to make your piece, which will then be taken offsite and fused in a kiln, before being returned for you to collect.

Lamport Hall Workshops

Venue: Lamport Hall, Lamport, Northamptonshire

Nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside, and yet only a short drive from the motorway network, Lamport Hall is a stunning building best known for its classical frontage. Workshops will take place in the Old Laundry Rooms. These rooms are the ideal size for workshops. The Old Laundry consists of two rooms, an enclosed outdoor space and nearby parking. Weather permitting, we will also have access to the beautiful landscaped gardens.

Fused Glass Beginners Day / Fused Glass Beginners to Improvers 2 Day Workshop

This Masterclass can be attended separately or as a 2 day course:

Sunday 26th April

Relax, chat, have fun and create something beautiful and timeless. This is a hands on workshop with no experience required. I will provide you with step by step tuition including demonstrations, hints & tips & all the basics of working in fused glass.
You will make at least 5 items in this workshop with an opportunity to make more for the extra cost of materials.
Starting with a pair of simple coasters and a sun catcher, and you will also work on two larger pieces in the afternoon, working with frit, stringers, millefiori and sheet glass to create a stand is alone sculptural piece and a functional candle stand or dish.

Fused Glass Beginners Day: £110.00 per person

Monday 27th April

This workshop we focus on cutting curves and working with other materials to create more interest and depth in your work.
In the morning we will make a kiln carved piece using fibreboard and glass. You will use decals and accessory glass to make a pair of birds to hang in a window or on a tree. Working with different glass frits, 2mm and 3mm bullseye glass, you will learn how to layer your glass to create depth in a stunning picture that you can have framed or a crashing wave to be mounted on a wooden stand. You will have access to glass Frits, millefiori, confetti, stringers, glass paint and much more.
We will also take some time to discuss kiln work and kiln schedules.

Fused Glass Beginners to Improvers: £110.00 per person

Book both days for £200.00 per person.

All work will be fired in kilns offsite and ready in 7 – 14 days to be collected or delivered.
